Grace and Aaron's Enchanted Castle Wedding: A Fairytale Affair at Wilton Castle, Ireland

Introducing the Chandlers

Meet Grace and Aaron Chandler, high school sweethearts from Merritt Island, Florida. Together since their teenage years, they have journeyed through life’s milestones side by side. After graduating from Florida State University and embarking on careers in the family construction business and digital marketing, they've grown together, exploring the U.S. and the world, fueled by their shared love of travel and cuisine.

Proposal on the Pier

Aaron’s proposal to Grace wasn’t entirely unexpected after ten years together, but the setting was nothing short of magical. The scene was set on a pier in Saint Petersburg, Florida, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a perfect glow for a perfect question. The celebration continued through the weekend at the iconic Don Cesar in Saint Petersburg Beach, surrounded by friends in jubilation.

Dream Destination: Wilton Castle, Ireland

The decision to host their wedding in Ireland came after a memorable Christmas trip in 2019. Suggested by Grace’s mother, Ireland captivated Grace's heart, and the historic and scenic Wilton Castle proved to be the ideal venue for their intimate wedding. Their love for the venue was sealed by its castle ruins and expansive outdoor areas, perfect for a wedding that felt both grand and intimate.

Wedding Planning with a Touch of Irish Charm

Navigating the complexities of planning a destination wedding was made effortless with the help of Laura from Waterlily Weddings. Laura’s expertise was invaluable in bringing Grace and Aaron’s vision to life, ensuring that every detail, from the crescent-shaped floral arrangement at the ceremony to the exquisite catering, was meticulously curated. Guests are still raving about the exceptional food, a testament to the couple’s priority to make the dining experience memorable.

The Big Day

Grace and Aaron’s wedding day was a true reflection of their journey together—intimate, beautifully orchestrated, and filled with personal touches. The crescent-shaped flower arrangement stood out as a unique and eye-catching centrepiece for the ceremony, symbolising the new phase of their lives.

As a wedding videographer in Ireland, capturing the essence of their celebration at Wilton Castle was an honour. The castle’s rustic charm and the lush Irish countryside provided a stunning backdrop for their wedding video, capturing every laugh, dance, and tender moment.

Challenges Overcome

Planning a wedding from abroad came with its set of challenges, but the expertise of their wedding planner ensured a smooth and enjoyable process. The realisation of their dream wedding only sunk in as they landed in Dublin, marking the beginning of a new chapter in a place that had stolen their hearts.

My Videography Approach That Puts You at Ease

Grace and Aaron were particularly conscious about feeling comfortable and natural in front of the camera, a common concern that can indeed affect the overall experience. She wanted her wedding day to be captured authentically, without the result feeling staged or awkward. When Grace and Aaron were considering booking my services, I reassured them of my approach: to blend seamlessly into the background, capturing moments as they naturally unfolded. This reassurance was crucial for them to feel at ease with the decision to have me as their videographer.

On their wedding day at Wilton Castle, I focused on creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing Grace and Aaron to truly be themselves. This approach not only made the portrait shoots fun and engaging but also ensured that the couple and their guests could enjoy the day without constant awareness of the camera. My aim was to capture the genuine joy and spontaneity of their celebration, which resulted in a wedding video that they could look back on and see the true essence of their special day. This personal and unobtrusive style helped Grace overcome her concerns, allowing her to fully immerse herself in the joy and celebration of their intimate wedding.

Grace and Aaron’s wedding was not just a day of celebration but a gathering of close family and friends who traveled great distances to share in their joy. Their wedding at Wilton Castle was a perfect blend of intimacy, beauty, and shared happiness, all set against the idyllic backdrop of Ireland.
